Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Voted best new beer 2007 by the Danish Society of Beer Enthusiasts.

English: Imperial Stout is a dark and rich beer with a beautiful dark cream coloured head. It’s brewed from several types of roast malts and conditioned on oak, which adds to the heavy body. The Imperial Stout has a strong and growing aftertaste of coffee, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Suited for game, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts. Or may be enjoyed alone in a cognac snifter in front of the fireplace.

RBESG08 grand tasting.
Murky dark brown body, thick tan head. Milk coffee and chocolate in the nose. Lovely coffee and chocolate in the taste, somewhat yoghurtey. A very good IS that I really loved.

Bottled at RBESG. Really black, beige head. Haeavy licorice aroma. Thock and malty, very solid. From nose to finish it makes the journey fromraw licorice and tar to milky smooth chocolate. All in a soft transition without becoming overly intrusive. A good one!

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Very hoppy, citrus clashes with burnt roastyness, no balance and harsh.

Near black colored with brown hints, medium sized light brown head. Coffee and vanilla dominate in this aroma, chocolate, some port wine, smoke and mild alcohol also present. Fine aroma indeed. Medium to full bodied, soft palated. Flavor is also dominated by vanilla and roasted coffee, sweetness strongly present. Aftertaste is sweet still with some drying hops and mild alcohol. Excellent aroma, maybe slightly too sweet flavor, specially aftertaste.
