Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Voted best new beer 2007 by the Danish Society of Beer Enthusiasts.

English: Imperial Stout is a dark and rich beer with a beautiful dark cream coloured head. It’s brewed from several types of roast malts and conditioned on oak, which adds to the heavy body. The Imperial Stout has a strong and growing aftertaste of coffee, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Suited for game, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts. Or may be enjoyed alone in a cognac snifter in front of the fireplace.

Bottled, was left to taste from the thewolf pre-Aarhus beer festival tasting sessionl. Thx guys! Dark color. Aroma of vanilla, hint of blackcurrant, rye, roasted malt. Roasted malty taste, some rye, coffee, tastes more like a regular sweet stout almost than an imperial stout.

A Mes rate: Bottle thanks to Jan & Charlotte.
Opaque black, thin but stable tan head and slight lace. Stunning aroma of roasted chocolate malt, slight vanilla, excellent milky coffee and a black hole of darkness. Flavour is also excellent but not quite so good. Plenty roasty and toasty, superb car tyre malt, lovely alcohol, slight yeast, glorious rich dark chocolate giving a wonderful bitter finish that seems to be all about the coffee and chocolate and nothing to do with any hops. This is full on darkness and it is done properly. Sting of hot alcohol in the finish lets it down a little but I really don’t care, I’m really enjoying this. Except for the burn the palate is excellent. Bloody good all rounder. Jan & Charlotte, you kick ass!

Bottle at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Black color, creamy head. Nice aroma of caramel, roasted malt, alcohol. Very strong body, the alcohol perception and high carbonation help keeping the mouthfeel not too fat; it has a very good mix of caramel and roasted malt flavor, a bit woody, sweet enough; in the end the alcohol is just a bit too strong. Very good.
