Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Voted best new beer 2007 by the Danish Society of Beer Enthusiasts.

English: Imperial Stout is a dark and rich beer with a beautiful dark cream coloured head. It’s brewed from several types of roast malts and conditioned on oak, which adds to the heavy body. The Imperial Stout has a strong and growing aftertaste of coffee, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Suited for game, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts. Or may be enjoyed alone in a cognac snifter in front of the fireplace.

Draft. A very dark brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate as well as lighter notes of coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa beans and chocolate, as well as lighter note of alcohol, leadint to a dry cocoa finish which also has a touch of alcohol. Nice.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown with a reddish hue and a dense, handsome, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of hard roasted malt and a vague touch of butter. Quite full-bodied, sweetish malty with a lightly burned edge. Subdued bitterness. Nice alright but not really spectacular. I miss some aroma hops here. 261107

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a dense chocolate brown head. Deep chocolate aroma with a nice roasted tone. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is smooth chocolate with clear accents of liquorice. Sweet. Finish holds a warming alcohol. Somewhat too sharp and lacks a bit of balance to be really great.

Bottled at RBESG. Really black, beige head. Haeavy licorice aroma. Thock and malty, very solid. From nose to finish it makes the journey fromraw licorice and tar to milky smooth chocolate. All in a soft transition without becoming overly intrusive. A good one!

Bottle, 9.5%. Powerful sweet liquorice aroma, slightly creamy. Black colour. Stable brown head. The flavour is sweet with liquorice and pepper, and warming alcohol. The finish has more liquorice and a little hop bite. Low carbonation, good syrupy mouthfeel. A powerful beer, good for sipping.
