Tasted 2008-01-25. Fresh bottle. Pours semi-hazy, brown (chocolate toffee) with white head. Aroma of hops, toffee and toffee. Ditto flavours. Good, though a bit watery.

Pours dark reddish with a nice white head. The head retention is pretty bad, though. The aromas are lemon and grape fruit from the US hops and some dried apricot notes mixed with a very faint note of milk chocolate. On the palate the hops are definately there, but the malty flavours come more and more forward and this, as well as the relatively low bitterness, leads me to the conclusion, that this is a pretty good and very nice beer, but it’s not really an IPA in my book. Still, a quite enjoyable beer.

Pours a clear red amber with an off-white head and nice lacings. Smells of hops and caramel. Low sweetness with a bitterenss that shines through towards the end. Malty aromas of caramel and nuts a hint of bread and toasted malts. Hoppy aromas of grapefruits. Some alcohol aromas too. Medium body and carbonation. The finish is a bitter hoppy with a slight alcohol touch. Slightly unbalanced with too much alcohol and sweet malt aromas.

Comments: A sweet butterscotchy IPA that keeps looking for a purpose, light-bodied, advanced filtration, mild bitterness… What for?

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of Cascade and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and grapefruit, leading to a bitter finish. Nothing special.
