Bottle at Ørsted Ølbar. Shared with a goofy dude from Frederiksberg. Pours black with a light brown head. Smells of dark chocolate. Sweet with aromas of milk chocolate and hints of Belgian yeast. Also aromas of raisins and dates. Dry finish with aromas of very dark chocolate. Full bodied. Very well balanced.

Bottle from Ölbutikken, Copenhagen. Pours black with a big brown head. Nice aroma of malt, hops and some whiskey. After drinking it a while the taste gets to sweet and dominated by whiskey.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma wood, caramel malts, some roasted notes, dark dry fruits, alcohol, liquorice and also mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is quite much the same with alcohol and ashes coming through rather strongly. Also wooden notes are stronger. Nicely balanced wooden notes.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu) Poured pitch black with medium sized and brown head. Aroma contained vanilla, roastedness and alcohol. Palate was full bodied, oily and warming with little carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, vanilla, cough mixture, alcohol, salty liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste contained bitterness and alcohol.

Black with medium, light brown head. Very malty nose with alcohol and vanilla oakiness. Flavor is dominated by alcohol, but smoothened by loads of vanilla, herbs, and malt sweetness. Sweetness is not overpowering, though, and also burnedness is in control. Very full body with almost no carbonation. Clearly more pleasant than regular Black, but I still wouldn’t drink much of this at once.

Bottled. Pitch black colorued. Huge dense brown head. Aroma of grass, soy souce, wood, alcohol. Is quite heavy and astringent. Heavy liqourice, alcohol, chocolate, spice, light chocolate and wood. Medium to full bodied. Liqourice, wood and roast in the end. Very alcoholwarmin. For once a high ABV special Mikkeller beer that not really does it for me.

Bottle dark brown head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of heavy roasted malty notes, coffee, whiskey, alcohol. Sharp alcoholic and whiskey like notes over the palate, countered with heavy sweet dark fruity notes as well. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering alcoholic warming finish.
