Crushed with Jakebra. Thick and oily gives this bitch a 5 appearance. Very sweet on the nose and flavor. Coffee and dark chocolate as well, but sweet as hell. The finish goes from sweet to a huge rush of bittering hops that balances this incredibly well. Intimidating and kickass.

a dark beer. go figure. a tan head showcasing larger than normal bubbles. Nose was substantially rich and vinious with notes of banana, chocolate, alcohol soaked pumpernickel bread, pot wine, and possibly other aspirtiffs. Flavors were charred, smokey, and sweet. The sweetness seems to hide the alcohol, but then theres extreme bitterness behind everything. THe beer is somewhat of a war zone with the smokey, earthy, sweet, bitter nuances all fighting for a stance, creating somewhat of a muddled mess.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Probably drunk a bit early from its peak but better than when I had it 7 months younger. We split the bottle on 4 and it was probably one to few. It smells of soy and alcohol. Full bodied, sort of sweet and malty taste.

Bottle. Black. Smells alcohol, tar and soy. Tastes like a burnt pop corn with soy. This is an extreme beer, but the 17,5% alcohol is still well hidden. Big taste.

375, foiled, corked, and baled. Pours jet black, with a loose, sudsy, surging, sloppy burnt tan head. Plenty of lace, and, even after a fair little while, a decent slurry of foamy film across the top. And this is not the newest bottle by any means; it has been sitting for 8 months. Roasty, plummy, highly boozy nose--boozy enough to give you a bit of a headache. Creamy medium body. A bit oily, but not especially sticky. Roasty, chocolatey, plummy, licoricey, and quite boozy mid-palate. Very good, very attention-grabbing. Not completely amazing but certainly not a disappointment at all.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Pure black. Aroma - alcohol, dark malts, vinuous, tarry. Extremely boozy, in fact, rather too much for me.

Bottle from aplusbreaks. Pours very viscous, black with a a very thin, wispy, tan head. Specks of lace. Smells of super dark roasted malts, slightly sweet with some burnt scents and a bit of rubbing alcohol. Tastes super sweet and dark ripe/rotten fruity. Lots of roast and lots of alcohol. Slightly sour with a good amount of smoke as well. Full body, good carbonation. Sorry to say, that much like SA Triple Bock I am not a fan of this brew. It gives me the shivers.

What a strange name for a very individual beer.Black and very flat with as you would expect a strong presence of alcohol. Roasted sherry like flavours dominate. Drunk on a cold winters night and reached the spots other beers could not come near.
