| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Bottle at Nnudds tasting. We finished the 22 Impy stout tasting with this mother and it really overpowered everything. Not only to the good side but this is a power house!
It pours completely black with dark brown head. Lots of tar, tobacco, overripe fruit and paint in aroma. Soft mouthfeel but you hardly recognise it as the flavour explodes in your mouth with chocolate, bitter hops, tar and burnt malts. It has a long alcoholic finish. Overall its too much of it all to be honest but its truely amazing how many tasting notes you can get out of this beer. Im looking forward to try it again in a year or so when it must be more tempered. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Bottle: Dark brown pour with a thin brown head. Dark fruit, roast, chocolate, and smoke in the aroma. Hints of the ABV already. Tastes sweet and fruity into a heavier roast and coffee note. The ABV shows, but not too bad. Molasses and light smoke too. I would like to try this aged 3-4 years... Thanks BuckeyeBoy. SudsMcDuff (1706), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
