Harrys bottle, shared with HogTownHarry and Blankboy. App: Black as satans fillings (I have used that before!) with a pancake mix appearance head. Aroma: Alcohol and coffee and spiced rum/honey rum. Flavour: Burnt alcohol, plant fibres, bitter as hell, long alcoholic coffee finish. Interesting.

Deeeeep black body, even the edge is black with a huge creamy lasting brown head leaving thick patches of lacing; The nose of this beauty has actually closed a little since the first couple of time I tasted this beer (by now it needs serious time in the glass to reveal itself) , 10 min in the glass it becomes super dense and as massive as when it was young and fresh, lots of very green fruity acid coffee notes as well as tons of chalky dry garage/ workshop aromas, a very secretive dense mixture of very green jungle, wet fresh Scandinavian pine forest and very durty car workshop; The texture is amazing silky soft with a golden smooth sweetness, but then.......an explosion of hoppy bitterness like I have never tasted a bitter beer before, or something like the expression "extreme beer" shouldnt have been used before, a deep balanced complex mix of bitter and sweet that brings a hole new dimension to beer and laughs at the boredom that reigns in the "normal" beer world; It finishes of huge and long, evolving and growing like it is alive and moving inside of you, a velvet silk snake biting its way with bitterness to your belly where it coils up and rests till it falls asleep, and waits for a friend to join it. This beer is amazing, it brings beer to a new and much more interesting level. It ain’t perfect but it is so incredibly interesting that it makes me want to drink and drink and drink like I have never wanted with beer before. Thanks a fantasillion, Mikkel, for being stupid.

WOW, this stuff is crazy, by far the booziest beer ive ever had. This poured black as night at a 90 degree angle and still barely a head, but very dark one at that. Aroma was chocolate, some coffee notes and lots and lots of alcohol. Flavor was just overqwhelmingly too strong, just tastes like a 12 percent stout with 2 shots of whiskey in it.

Bottle from a couple years ago. Sort of syrupy pour, black in color with no head. No carbonation visible. Aroma is pretty strong, mostly alcohol, and astringent bitterness (from coffee / roast etc). Flavor is a little chocolately, strong alcohol, and astringent bitterness. Very dry beer overall and a little sugar could probably go a long way for the palate on this one. Finish lingers with roasted bitterness.

The final round of a beer dinner last night. Dark, roasty, intense. One of those oil can stouts I really enjoy. Served with an espresso torte.

375ml Bottle (Thanks Svesse) - Black in colour with a tan head. Rich chocolatey aroma with molasses, chocolate and some hoppy hints. The taste is rich, bitter and warming. Chocolate, molasses and coffee feature in the taste. It’s incredibly rich and definitely one to sip slowly. Not bad but I still think it’s a bit of a gimmick.

A pitch black colored beer, with a dark beige/brown head. The aroma of alcohol, dar fruits and notes of porto.cognac. The taste of a lot of alcohol, with porto and cognac. It’s dry bitter like expresso. The aftertaste of dark malts, alcohol and bitterness.
