Deeeeep black body, even the edge is black with a huge creamy lasting brown head leaving thick patches of lacing; The nose of this beauty has actually closed a little since the first couple of time I tasted this beer (by now it needs serious time in the glass to reveal itself) , 10 min in the glass it becomes super dense and as massive as when it was young and fresh, lots of very green fruity acid coffee notes as well as tons of chalky dry garage/ workshop aromas, a very secretive dense mixture of very green jungle, wet fresh Scandinavian pine forest and very durty car workshop; The texture is amazing silky soft with a golden smooth sweetness, but then.......an explosion of hoppy bitterness like I have never tasted a bitter beer before, or something like the expression "extreme beer" shouldnt have been used before, a deep balanced complex mix of bitter and sweet that brings a hole new dimension to beer and laughs at the boredom that reigns in the "normal" beer world; It finishes of huge and long, evolving and growing like it is alive and moving inside of you, a velvet silk snake biting its way with bitterness to your belly where it coils up and rests till it falls asleep, and waits for a friend to join it. This beer is amazing, it brings beer to a new and much more interesting level. It ain’t perfect but it is so incredibly interesting that it makes me want to drink and drink and drink like I have never wanted with beer before. Thanks a fantasillion, Mikkel, for being stupid.

375ml bottle. corked and caged. Amped-up Black Hole without the coffee. Alcohol is just wafting out! Super strong. Huge roast. Flavor has deep roast, log lasting flavor of residual sweetness. Whoo, flavor of alcohol. WOW. Nice malts, still lots of sugars left! HOW? Don’t know. Are my cheeks RED?? Nice, very nice. Another A+ from Mikkeller. Whoo that’s strong!

Bottle. Clear dark black color with a average, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, heavy hoppy, moderate alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, and a very nice dry finish. Body is full, texture is creamy - syrupy and very smooth, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. Very nice, good work Mikkel .. ;o)) (310108)

Thick as Kuwaitian-oil and smooth as a candy-floss. This is a heavy metal version of beers....and yes... you will be head-banging afterwards. The body is sweet, very hoppy and with notes of liquorice and sweet chocolate. In the finish you sense the alcohol. The head is dark brown and fading. The nose is balrly-wineish and will stay with you as long as you wish.

Bottle shared with reakt. Thanks, Angelo!!! Pours pure black with a beige head. Aroma is Isopryl alcohol candy, red prune wine, and sweet cake. Flavor is chocolate scotch peat with fruit syrup. Full mouthfeel. Flavors linger 30 seconds after each sip. So good I need a priest to forgive me.

Pours pitch black with a brown, sticky, roasted-looking head. Aroma is really intense: red wine, old fruits.. First touch with lips feels like drinking melted dark chocolate. Flavor reminds me of complex and full-bodied red wines, dark chocolate, coffee, dark old fermented fruits. Alcohol tastes and feels clearly but not in a bad way. Smooth, full-bodied, complex, delicious palate. This is the best stuff I’ve tasted so far.

Pours black. Solid black. Tiny mocha-brown head - and that’s if you center-pour from about eight inches up. Smells like the World Wide Stout from DFH. Sweet, dark fruits, alcohol, chocolate, molasses. Flavor brought out a huge port note for me. Smokey, chocolatey, and smooth as hell. Thick, syrupy - exactly like I wanted the palate to be. The flavor has a little more coffee than the WWS, and doesn’t linger on your tongue quite as long, but this is still utterly fantastic.

Bottle. Pours pitch black, with short lasting brown/nougat-colored head. Aroma is mindblowing. Sweet, yet strong. Alcohol, sugar, malt, hops, liquorice, dark chocolate. Appearance is thick and almost sirupy. Taste is phenomenal. Starts very sweet, and then the alcohol kicks in and leaves your palate, throat and tasts buds completely numbed. Absolutely amazing.
