Bottle has a touch of age on it. On draft I bet this thing is sexy.
Aroma is pineapple, orange, and apricot.
Taste is grassy, very earthy, some graininess.
Mouthfeel is fizzy, citric, harsh bitterness for an APA.
Overall, I think this beer is delicious and I would love to try it again more fresh. I think that the hop aroma doesn’t come through in the taste, as the taste is a lot more grassy, and also a bit of fruity ester, not so much fruity hoppiness.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 22, 2008 bottle from west lakeview..... pours a semi-transparent amber brown with a frothy white head.... solid aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, maybe some lychee and a touch of earthiness.... flavors favored a more grassy earthy hop where the tropical fruitiness from the nose really don’t shine through like i was expecting. medium body and finished with a bitter hoppiness..... solid nose but the flavor didn’t quit live up to it imho. ekstedt (2447), Göteborg, Sweden

Strong and potent aroma full of citrus, grass and orange plus some caramel. The flavour is just pure bliss in the American tradition: fully hopped on a nice caramel background.
