| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Entered to celebrate my rating number 14,400. Draft and bottled. A pitch black beer with a hug dark brown head - maybe the darkest brown head I’ve ever seen. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of sugar like dextrose, roasted malt, alcohol, dark bitter chocolate, and coffee, as well as medium notes of wood, leading to a dry woody and alcoholic finish. The alcohol and hops tickles the palate. Enjoyit (1711), Vadum, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2009 [Bottle, thanks Marsiblursi!] Pours dark brown with a nice brown head. Aroma is kind of odd and sweet, with honey, herbal qualities and smoke. The taste is sweet as well, then oak, a little smoke, and then malt and chocolate blend together. Medium mouthfeel, and has long finish. Overall, this was a pretty quality barrel-aged imperial stout, and something that I would like to try again in a little bigger bottle. Thanks again, Marsiblursi! Ibrew2or3 (2761), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA

The aroma is full bold oakiness with creamy molasses, toffee, coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is effervescence pushing up notes of burnt molasses, toffee and coffee. To midway rich velvety dark chocolate and oak join the other rich flavors along with a decent level of booze. It becomes smooth rich nectar sweet into the finish. WOW! Nose is BOOZE!, coffee, vanilla, burnt roast malts, chocolate, liquorice and soy. Huge booze flavor, heavy roasted grain, bitter coffee, bitter hops, loadas of chocolate. Finishes a biting alcohol sharpness and sweet. Thick and chewy. F’n amazing! anders37 (4630), Malmö, Sweden
