Bottle. Body is Black as Coal with a creamy tan head. Heavy roasty aroma with a very vinous touch. Chocolate, hops, tobacco and coffee notes. Some alcohol as well. Sweet malty flavour. Oak is very present and it has a bourbon touch which makes it rather spicy. I catch pepper and sweet tobacco as well. The alcohol is present but it makes up for the heavy roasted malt. It ends up sweet, spicy and hoppy. I love it and I need to get another to cellar for a couple of years.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. The beer starts strong-malty, shows very sweet notes, the finish is drier, a bit prickly-smoky finish. Nice one! Thank you yespr for this bottle!

Black with a brown head. The aroma is of caramel, oak and roasted barley, with alcohol too. Flavor is very sweet with caramel, oak and roasted barley.

Bottled. Pours out in an opaque black colour with a small beige head. Bi g, almost burning aroma of ash, black chocolate, roasted malts, anise and alcohol. Full-bodied with notes of oak, black chocolate, pepper, spunned sugar, fihs and ash. Long warming finish of black pepper, dark chocolate, figs and alcohol. Need some rest, me thinks.

250ml bottle shared by after4ever. Pours dark, black, with little head that lingers around the sides of the glass. Nose is deep roasted malt and some chocolate. This one was roasty on the palate with hints of sweet and a touch of smoke. Also had a fair amount of carbonation going on. ABV is also fairly well hidden with this one.

Bottle shared by after4ever. Thanks Tom! Lots of dark malts in the aroma, somewhat vinous with a noticeable tart characteristic from the oak barrels. Some alcohol almost vodka notes wafting toward the nose as well. Pours black - go figure - with a thin tan ring. The nose proved to be a bit misleading as I got a good amount of sweet chocolate in the flavor followed by roast and burnt malts. Some oak and wood notes from the barrel aging but mostly sweet chocolate and burnt malts in this one. Nice smoothing drinking with a pleasant bitterness to round everything out.

Copenhagen Feb, 09. Pours jet black with initial frothy deep brown head that quidkly faded. Rich chocolate mailt aroma. Flavour is quite sweet, with roasty malt, oak wood and big hop finish.

Bottle shared by Bobby91w. Pour is black with a multi-hued head of browns and reds. The nose is huge with loads of hops, roast, tar, and oak. Lots of the same stuff going on in the flavor and wonderfully bitter. A bit of an oily mouthfeel. What a treat.
