On tap at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Appearance - as described! Lots of dark fruit, especially blackcurrant, on the nose. Quite perfumy even. When you sip, there’s almost a violet taste. The palate is slightly slick and thin but overall this is very nice indeed.

Tap at EBF: Pitch black with a off white brown head. Full bodied. Lots of roasted malts - lovely. Smooth & soft chocolate, vanilla & coffee. Alcohol well hidden. This is super nice!

Draught at EBF. Black - brown head. High sweetness, white sugar, wood, barrel, coffee, vanilla, roasted, burned, nice hoppy, chocolate, licorice... and a lot more - bit like Black but with less hops.

Draught at EBF, Copenhagen. Complex imperial stout, sweet, a bit of sourness, some fruit. A bit too sweet for me, really. They can’t turn everything into gold, can they?

Huge, dark brown head, fluffy, over jet-black beer. Coffee, black malts, extremely roasted nose, and a lot of USA-like hops. Black coffee, burning chocolate melt, black chocolate dessert, Zachertorte, hopresins and piney notes in the finish. Very viscous, very full-bodied. Very good, and well-hopped black Stout - excellent as it is, but compared to the Dark Horizon of Nogne...

[on tap at EBF 2008] Bubblegum dark malt aroma with a hint of vanilla and not much else. Opaque, viscous black with a thin brown cover and thick ring. Very salty from excessive hopping rate along with a strong dark malt bitterness. Coffee and mocha notes. Tangy and salty feel from tons of hops--really overboard. Medium carbonation, sweet finish with a touch of lasting dark malt bitterness.
