Black color with a brown head. Very nice roasted aroma. Very nice roasted body with strong hints of chocolate and coffee. Very bitter palate with a complex hop pattern. Extremely nice.

På fad til ølfestivalen. Sort med et lyst brunt skum med bobler. Den er godt ristet med masser af kaffe, tørrede frugter, lakrids og godt med alkohol. Varmer godt og godt humlet i eftersmagen. Godt karboneret.

Darught at EBF 2008. Pitch black (darker than coal) with a medium sized beige head. Roasted aroma of coffee, liquorice and alcohol. Sweet and roasted flavour of coffee with notes of dried fruits, liquorice, chocolate and alcohol. Dry roasted and warming alcoholic finish.

Draught (EBF2008) - thanks someone!
Pitch black, tiny head. Great hoppy aroma. Well-balanced burnt malty taste. Loads of hops and super-tasty. Does hint towards its strength, but forgivably so. (I can’t think of many apart from Black Albert which would be both stronger and subtler, TBH.)

Bottle. High creamy lasting and good looking dark brown head. No light coming through this pitch black body. Powerful coffee choccolate aroma with a good deal of alcohol, not too much though, a good deal of hops, vanilla and woody notes as well. High carbonation, strong coffee choccolate alcohol flavor with long lasting hops bitterness. Would not have guessed the alcohol percentage but it does feel a bit too strong in the flavor.

Draught at EBF 2008. Black colour with a small beige head and some lacing. Powerful aroma and taste of licorice, sweet chocolate and mildly roasted with a bitter finish. Medium to full palate.
