Mikkeller Barrel Aged Smoke a Ciggy

Bottled. Dark color, short head. Aroma of smoke, some whisky, malt. Dry smokey peated malt in taste. Bit two much smoke.

Bottle @ kloneo, thx skortila. Dark brown colour, tan head. Aroma is sharp smoked, peaty and toasted malts. Flavour of smoked malts, peat, dark fruits. Nice one.

Bottled. Tnx thewolf! The bottle is definately too tiny. That’s why it gets minus points.Aroma has smoke, whisky, ashtray. Dirty brown-black coloured beer with not much head. The taste is sweet with all the heavy peated whisky ash there. Medium bodied. Absolutely interesting this one.

Cloudy dirty brown with a thin off white head. Smells just like an Islay whisky. Over the top ashy, lots of mineral notes. My god this is totally whisky dominated. Just about able to detect some malt in there along with hints of a dirty old tobacco stained café. Sounds a bit wrong but it’s bloody awesome. Flavour... Poo the bed this is good. It’s like a sweet as hell rauchbier with some awesome peaty whisky carrying it all along really well. My god. Madness. Unlike anything I have ever tasted. Similar to so many others that I know so well but this is the whole lot blended together in one big bag of spanner munching frogs. Amazing stuff. It’s not really much like a beer. More a blend of lots of top quality intoxicants. Most of which you shouldn’t be allowed. Legend.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber/brown. Aroma and taste are rich with raisins, plums spices, smoke and roast malt. Some notes of licorice too.

bottle. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small off white head. Rich aroma and taste of smoke, fruits and spices. Nicely balanced.

Bottled. Big, in your face smoky aroma, kind of hammy, vegetal, some oregano. Very, very sweet flavor, almost unbearable — I see now that this has added honey, and is 11.5%, which explains the massive sweetness. I guess the smoke somewhat kind of balances the sweet but not nearly enough. This is incredibly trying to drink.

Bottle 25 cl. Slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. intense smoky aroma of burned plastic and phenols. Solid body, sweet caramel and massive smoked notes of burned plastic. Not much bitterness but a solid alcohol burn. 300809
