Bottle (25 cl) from Ölbutikken. Murky reddish brown, creamy off-white head. Murky reddish brown with creamy off-white head. Heavy smoke aroma with notes of bon fire remains, and ash tray. Sweet, sugary and harsh. Not good.

(Bottled) Hazy dark ruby with a very small head. Strongly smoky aroma with peaty malt, and some whisky-like alcohol. Very intense smoked-peaty-tarry-malty, salty flavor with some caramel syrup. Alcohol is well hidden, but burns in the aftertaste. Doesn’t change much with yeast. Almost full-bodied, liqueur-like palate with low carbonation. An extreme beer with huge amounts of salty-peaty-tarry smokiness - yet surprisingly pleasant and drinkable. The bottle size of 0.25l is well planned ahead, though...

Small beige head. Hazy deep red body. Intense peaty smoky charcoal aroma with citric hop notes. Dry-sweet alcoholic citric smoky taste. Mid-bodied. Aftertaste is much the same. Quite nice. (0.25l bottle shared by gr0ve.)

Bottle at home - shared with Mette, the night before I leave for GABF. Murkey red/brown (mahogony) - small fast disappearing offwhite head. What a lovely aroma of: smoke, nuts, chocolate, light roasted, wood, oak and tobacco. Taste: Wood, oak, smoke, berries, honey, bondfire, tobacco, cigar, light sweetness, roasted, nutty, raisins, light alcohollic burn. Lovely - thanks Mikkel.

Bottle. Reddish brown color, hazy. Smoky aroma. Ash, cigars, mango. Malty sweet flavor initially, but the sweetness is challenged by a firm smokiness like from peat, tar, cigars. Banana and mango. Medium bodied. Very well balanced, if you like smoke. The alcohol is hardly noticed. A brave and excellent beer.
