Cask [ gravity ] at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dark black color with a small virtually none head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, cacao, chilli notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, and a chilli burn finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [130908]

Sampled at European Beerfestival Copenhagen 2008. Orange dark chocolate nose, good hop profile. Jet black, no head. Dark chocolate, coffee, plentifull aromatic hops, all extended with a wellbalanced extra chili dimension. Brilliant composition.

(EBF 2008). Black color, no head. Smooth cocoa aroma, chocolate and some bitter notes. Way too strong chilli flavor, bitter chocolate, cocoa and tar.

Black with a small white head. Coffee dominates the aroma with some malt and a little chocolate. Dry and roasted flavour with a lot of hpot, spicy chili. Extrekmely hot, but exciting to try.

(Cask) Completely opaque black with no head. Burned malty aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet burned malts and then chili notes that come creeping upon you only to numb your tastebuds completely in the end. Even the malt bitterness in the finish disappears completely under the burning chilies. But quite enticing really. 130908

Cask@EBF 2008. Pitch black, no head. Dry rounded chocolate aroma with spice notes. Roasted coffee, dark ashy malts and lots of chocolate in the flavor. The chilli kicks in after a while and gives away a pleasant burn. Medium to full body. Long spicy finish. I like it.

EBF2008. It’s a pitch black beer with notes of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, hints of ashes and smoke in the aroma. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, chocolate, light licorice, coffee and the chilli is clearly there, but as a nicely balanced and pleasantly burning sensation.

Sampled at EBF08. Almost black with no head. Pleasant aroma with loads of chocolate and coffee. Overwhelming chili-flavour. The coffee and chocolate are there, but very well hidden. Not very drinkable.
