Black body, big bubbled brown head; Big nose that is well balanced with both chocolate, quite dry aromas, and chilli, clear chilli aromas, I am just wondering if those two ingredients will ever be part of a good beer; Soft very pleasant flat body; Chilli burn start late in the finish and very well balanced the texture of the chocolate is there too. I dont know, like I said I dont think chilli and chocolate will ever be part of a beer that is more then funny.

Had this at European Beer festival 13-09-08 Pours black. Deep sumptious chocolate with a constant chilli presence. The heat from the chilli works really well with the chocolate, also nice and malty, good, in fact very good beer.

Draught@EBF2008. Black colour, no head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, chili and some nice caramelly notes. Flavour is quite much the same with the chili coming in with some slight burning in the finish. One of the better attempts for a balanced chili beer.

Cask at EBF: Pitch black with no head. Smooth, sticky, low carbonation. Chocolate, vague coffee & quite a lot of hot chilli. Quite offensive! Creamy & smooth mouthfeel. Good!

Sample at EBF Copenhagen. Medium head with medium duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coffee and notes of chili.

Draught at EBF 2008. Pitch black coloured with a small fast disappearing beige head. Roasted aroma of coffee, chocolate and hops with notes of chili pepper. Roasted flavour of chocolate, coffee, hops and chili pepper. Roasted and burning finish. The chili is too dominating.

Draught at EBF, Copenhagen. No head, no carbonation. Very dark brown. Dry chocolate, warming chili, not too burning. A gimmick, sure, but nicely executed. And it’s not too overwhelming in any way.
