Sampled at EBF2008. Pours a black beer with no head. The aroma has sweetness, chili and dark chocolate. The flavor starts with chocolate sweetness and changes into chili. The mouthfeel is complex between the sweet chocolate and the chili.

Cask. Black color with no head. Roasted aroma with hints of coffee. Very nice roasted body with burned chocolate and light coffee notes. Palate with coffee, chocolate and just a hint of chili to give that warming feeling. Very nice.

Cask @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours a wonderful, completely black with a little rim of brown bubbles. Nice roasted aroma with loads of dark chocolate and a slight herbal side to it - might that be the chilli? Very low carbonation, fine creaminess. Flavour is sweet and malty at first, then a heavy chilli burn. Ends completely fantastic with coffee and a ton of dark chocolate. Tone down the chilli just a tad, and this is a sure 4+ beer.

Draught at EBF. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong chili notes. Especially in finish. I hate that. Moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Like the Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Pooh Coffee Cask Festival Edition yet more powdery in the chocolate flavour and mouthfeel and with a smooth chili and slowly building finish. Very mild and smooth, although a full pint of this would leave you with quite come chili burn.

Cask at EBF 2008. Black colour with a small fully diminishing head. Rich aroma and taste of roasted malts, sweet chocolate and some chili in the finish.

[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Small creamy brownish head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Pitch black color. Classic Beer Geek Breakfast with the subtly chili burn and chocolate feel. The Harbanero could clearly be felt and a chili freak this beer really rocks. Medium to almost full bodied again because of the chili, average carbonation and thick light burning texture. Moderated to heavy sweet chocolate flavor with good bitterness. Lingering subtly chili burn with again thick chocolate finish. Hope Mikkel one day decides on bottling this beer.

Pitch black color, no head. Roasted, chocolaty nose. Velvety roasted flavor, lots of chocolate, then nice chilli burning finish mixed with roasted malty notes. Very drinkable chilli beer!
