Cask. A black beer with no head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt, as well as lighter notes of chili. The flavor is sweet with notes of chili, chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt.

(Cask) Completely opaque black with no head. Burned malty aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet burned malts and then chili notes that come creeping upon you only to numb your tastebuds completely in the end. Even the malt bitterness in the finish disappears completely under the burning chilies. But quite enticing really. 130908

Like the Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Pooh Coffee Cask Festival Edition yet more powdery in the chocolate flavour and mouthfeel and with a smooth chili and slowly building finish. Very mild and smooth, although a full pint of this would leave you with quite come chili burn.

Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. In my life I’ve only had one chilli flavoured beer that did not go overboard. This is clearly not the one. Very black, no head. Restrained chocolatey syrup aroma. Sweet and concentrated. The chocolate quickly get overrun by chilis. When the burn starts the dam bursts and there is nothing to stop the onslaught of chiliburn. While I like habaneros in food I simply don’t get this beer.

Cask [ gravity ] at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dark black color with a small virtually none head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, cacao, chilli notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, and a chilli burn finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [130908]

Draught@EBF2008. Black colour, no head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, chili and some nice caramelly notes. Flavour is quite much the same with the chili coming in with some slight burning in the finish. One of the better attempts for a balanced chili beer.

Draught at EBF 2008. Pitch black coloured with a small fast disappearing beige head. Roasted aroma of coffee, chocolate and hops with notes of chili pepper. Roasted flavour of chocolate, coffee, hops and chili pepper. Roasted and burning finish. The chili is too dominating.
