Cask at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Another of teh highlights ... This was all that a chilli beer should be ... Deep deep black ... Sweet malt nose ... very soft mouth feel ... loads of chocolate ... quite a lot of chilli (mmm chillies) ... very deep rich flavour ... with just the right amount of burn... The chilli is clearly present and got a little kick but doesnt destroy the other aspects of teh beer.

I do hope this appears in bottles, or maybe i open a Beer Geek drop in a couple of dried chillies, recap, leave it a few days and see what happens

Cask at EBF 2008. Served in festival sample glass. Black with minimal tan head. The aroma is deliciously roasted and coffeeish, well-hopped and complex. The flavor is coffeeish and chocolatey, well-hopped and firmly malty (roasted, sweet) with huge amounts of vibrant chili flavor and considerable, lingering heat which carries through well past the long, bitter finish. Immensely complex and flavorful. Smooth and full, modestly carbonated mouthfeel. A sublime, experimental beer - the pick of the litter at EBF 2008, IMHO.

Cask. Black color with no head. Roasted aroma with hints of coffee. Very nice roasted body with burned chocolate and light coffee notes. Palate with coffee, chocolate and just a hint of chili to give that warming feeling. Very nice.

Cask at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A black beer with some head, or at least a wafer thin layer of tan bubbles. Roasted malts, chocolate and some chili in the aroma, with the chili slowly creeping up the nose, but quite mild. Roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee starts off the flavor experience, but soon a strong, burning chili flavor blends in. Some bitterness too, but coffee-bitterness, not hoppy bitterness. Chili-warming, full-bodied and slightly sweet mouthfeel. Coffee-bitter finish with some chili. The chili is really lasting. I love the chili profile in this one, but it’s far from being an easy drinkable one. (080913)

Cask [ gravity ] at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dark black color with a small virtually none head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, cacao, chilli notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, and a chilli burn finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [130908]

[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Small creamy brownish head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Pitch black color. Classic Beer Geek Breakfast with the subtly chili burn and chocolate feel. The Harbanero could clearly be felt and a chili freak this beer really rocks. Medium to almost full bodied again because of the chili, average carbonation and thick light burning texture. Moderated to heavy sweet chocolate flavor with good bitterness. Lingering subtly chili burn with again thick chocolate finish. Hope Mikkel one day decides on bottling this beer.

Sampled at European Beerfestival Copenhagen 2008. Orange dark chocolate nose, good hop profile. Jet black, no head. Dark chocolate, coffee, plentifull aromatic hops, all extended with a wellbalanced extra chili dimension. Brilliant composition.
