Entered to celebrate my rating number 11,700. Cask at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. A pitch black beer with a disappearing bubbly brown head. THe aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of bitter chocolate and hard roasted malt as well as some oatmeal notes, leading to a dry bitter and hard roasted finish. The mouthfeel is flat, since it is from cask. Lacks the coffee, but is a great beer base beer, so I can understand why I like the real version so much.

From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours dark brown to black with a bubbly chocolate brown head. Roasted and solid hoppy aroma with mild fruity tones. Flavour is dry and acidic bitter with a solid roasted malty note. Sweet and somewhat acidic too. Mild chocolate smoothness and a very dry. Bitter and roasted finish. Quite intense finish of hops and solid roasted malty. I do miss the coffee and I’m not sure this brew wins anything from being served as cask.
