Pour is black with a dense brown head...smell is coffee and roasty, but cocoa dominates the nose...nice mouthfeel...seems a little boring...well rounded with lots of cocoa...doesn’t seem too overwhelming (for the stupid hype anyway), but I would trade again for this beer indeed! Thanks henrik!!!

Bottle. Nose-nutmeg, coffee, and dark fruits. Opaque body with a foamy 1/2 inch head. Taste-sharp mouthfeel, chocolate syrup, fig, light grassy hops, Better than the non-draft version.

Bottle thanks to Mullman at Dickinsonbeer’s. Black with a small tan head. Mild aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Just like the regular version, the flavor was stronger than the aroma. The coffee and chocolate really came out, as did the bitter roasted malt. Mouthfeel was a bit thin however.

Bottle shared by Mullman at Oktoberfest at Dickinsonbeer’s. Poured black with a brown head. Aroma of licorice, alcohol, chocolate. Flavor is very bitter and roasty, with flavors of coffee and chocolate. Body is chewy and yeasty. This has some nice coffee in it but seems a bit too dry to be acceptably drinkable.

[Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 6700] A pitch black beer with a dark brown, but quite fast collapsing, head. The aroma is powerful with notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and oatmeal. The flavor is powerful, at first a malt sweetness appears, which is then forced in the background by very powerful chocolate note, of dark very bitter desert chocolate, which in time mixes with a growing note of coffee. The coffee note carries all the way thru to the end getting more and more bitter, and in the aftertaste it also gets that oily note from chewing on well roasted coffee beans. Somewhere in the middle of it all there’s also a note of oatmeal.

Draught @ Købehavnske Øldage 2006 Very black, creamy brown head. Dryish with creamy soft mouthfeel. Notes of tobacco, but coffee dominates. Very roasty. Long salty bitter finish.

Dark and black body with a nice dark brown head. Aroma is chocolate almond and espresso. Lots of cocoa and coffee in the flavour with adequate dryness and acidity. Full flavoured and enjoyable.

Quite black colour. Big rich aroma of chocolate, coffee, nuts. Chewy, fairly simple palate with abovementioned characteristics. Not complex, but intense and well-made.
