Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a lingering medium foamy head. Flavor is gourmet coffee, chocolate and roasted malts, oats. Medium bodied and slightly creamy. Finish is just the right blend of hops. Well done, this could fit in alongside a nice plate of bacon and eggs. Beer, not just for dinner anymore!

Pours a very dark, opaque chocolate, espresso brown with a very thick tan-colored head. Aroma is very malty and a sugary espresso/chocolate notes with undertones reminiscent of vanilla bean. Flavor is very espresso-like/full city coffee roast. The flavor is so pure nutty coffee. The coffee flavor is so pure and rich that chocolate doesn’t even really mask the flavors. It is a very pure coffee flavor. Body is creamy yet light with a medium amount of carbonation. Fabuloius.

Bottle at Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi, Finland. Very dark brown beer with the most beautiful reddish brown head I’ve seen. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Flavor has the same with a bittery end. Nicely bodied stout.

500ml bottle. Wanted something special for number 500 and boy did I get it. Pours a thick dark tar colour with an amazing choclate head of crisp dense foam. Aromas of chocolate and coffee beans invites you in and teases you. Strong thick flavours of dark chocoalte that hits every part of the mouth and leaves a flavour burst in the mouth.

Opaque, black, with a larger brown head that leaves behind a sticky lacing. Aroma contains notes of oat, coffee, and chocolate. Flavor consists of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, with a little bit of bite from the hops and the coffee in the finish.

Stout black with a tan head. Quite a nose, abundant with coffee and chocolate malt, but has a slight pilsner-like funk that doesn’t quite mesh. Flavor is rich with the coffee overdose, and not quite as sweet as it needs to be to balance the other complexities to make for a nice lingering finish. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of ’coffee’ stouts in general. Maybe I am being harsh on this, but I was expecting more. I’d rather have a Kalamazoo.
