Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Recent batch of this has been brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø.
An oatmeal stout with 25% oat-based ingredients and a nice touch of gourmet coffee. A beer that goes extremely well with breakfast.

22oz bottle-pours a thick creamy brown head and black color. Aroma is roasty, dark malt, oatmeal. Taste is roasty, dark malt-chocolate/coffee beans, alcohol, lactose. Bitter/acidic in the finish. Nicely done but not my style.

Talk about cocoa and coffee aroma and flavor. Great dark appearance with nice, thick head. Only disappointment was with the palate - more thin than I expected for something as dark and rich. I very much enjoyed and would have again.

Bottle. Almost black with a big, brown, lacing head. Great coffee, peat and milk aroma. Complex flavours of salt, peat, roasted coffee, some chocolate and milk. Soft and velvety. A treat, not only for breakfast.

Bottled. Black with a large, beige/orange head. Burnt, nutty aroma with peat. Salty and bitter flavour with licorice, coffee and chocolate. Dry bitterness.

Thanks to myself for this one. Cracked it open with a bowl of cocco puffs for breakfast. Pours a dark black color with a big toffee colored head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and oatmeal. Taste was a little more coffee based then I like since I am not a coffee drinker but still very enjoyable. Slight trace of alcohol but still easy to drink. The texture is thick in the glass but doesnt really feel that way once you taste it. Overall this is a well crafted beer. And If you like coffee this beer is for you!

An absolute monster! Pours balck motor oil, with a nice tan head leaving lots of lace. Aromas of coffe, roasted malts and oats. Flavor is smooth and silky coffee, oats with a little bitterness at the end. A beauty of a brew!
