A heaven beer! This is close to perfect and I’m happy that I have 3 more in my cellar. Black, black beer with dark brown head with the aromanotes of sweet roasted coffee-chocs. Quite powerful indeed. The hops are very wellbalanced and smooth in the similar flavor with a mouthfell that is perfect. Where is the alcohol? 10 % Cannot feel it, but it’s ok alcoholic. Apples?, licorice and more notes. Looking forward to sample more of this maqnifique beer.

Bottled @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2008. Black as pitch with a medium sized brown head. Nice and roasted with notes of burnt malt, coffee, dark bitter chocolate, dark dried fruit, brown sugar and a hint of smoke. Good balance.

Thanks yet again to Jeppe for bringing one of the newer treats from the brewery! Pours a deep brownish/copper hue with a tan head. Outstanding aroma. Espresso, dark chocolate, roasted oats, biscuit. A bit of char from the specialty malt that balanced nicely with the malty sweetness. A rather large amount of coffee again on the finish with a bit of bitterness, but nicely balanced by a creamy/sweet mouthfeel. One of the best beers I’ve had from mikkeller.

25 cl bottle, which is a bit too small! Nearly black with disappearing head. Aroma is heavy on the coffee, but with nice notes of burned malt and hops. The flavour is very full and oily wih loads of coffeel, hops and roasted malt. Chocolate is also quite apperant. Almost like a really fine chocolate with booze and coffee. Sweet but not overpowerering. Fine one!

330cl bottle. yet another thanks to jeppe for bringing this from overseas....i’m glad i’m not the only other one in the group that rated this appearance a 3. dark brown to black pour with brown edges and a faint wispy light brown head that wasn’t that highly noticeable.... simple yet assertive aroma of roasted malt and strong coffee notes.... abundance of roasted coffee with a really smooth mouthfeel. little carbonation which works well with it.

Aroma:Pear and apple, then coffee and reasted stuff. fruits disturbing. appearance : pitch black (nice) no head (boooring). Flavor. SO MUCH GOING ON.. dries my mouth out, all those impressions. flavor is REAL good, and well balanced, and .. strong.. aftertaste is more than fantastic. the aftertaste after 50 secs is stronger and more powerfull than what you taste when you drink most other stout’s. awesome. don’t drink this one fast. great brew.

Bottle thanks to Jeppe. Murky, dark brown with beautiful burnt tan head. Big coffee aroma and roasty, dry malt sweetness. Flavor is once again very large coffee with roasted malt, mild alc, some dirtiness. Medium bodied and creamy. Nice, coffee bitterness is crazy!

Black with large brown head. Aromaen has loads of coffee, hops, chocolate and hard roasted malt. Flavor is sweet with notes of bitter coffee, burned malt, caramel, hops and dark chocolate. Ends bitter. Huge complexity and soft mouthfeel.
