| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 15, 2009 250ml bottle shared by after4ever. Pours a dark black with faint head. Nose was sweet vanilla and boozy with coffee and burnt malt. My notes also say that I picked up the smell of dirty socks in there. This one was very sweet and roasty with the coffee coming through. This was my least favorite of the Mikkeller nips we had this night. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a deep black with a ring of creamy brown head. Aroma is huge, consisting of dark roasted grain, malt and coffee. Flavor is also big on the deeply roasted coffee, along with some vanilla, chocolate and molasses. Crazy roasty and delicious! riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Shared by after4ever. Nice aromas of roast, sweet malts, alcohol, and some alcohol. Black pour with a thin tan ring. Lots of roasted malts in the flavor with some softer oat notes, burnt malts a touch of earthy woody notes too. Compared to all of the other small bottle mikkelers this one seemed a little thin. Smooth drinking, but a bit astringent from an overpowering burnt/charred characteristic. Barnyard aroma not offencive by no means but couldn’t even get an aroma from regular beer geek after putting the nose in this one. Black body with tan head. Could taste burnt wood and a thick lace of sticky tobbacco leaf. Glad I got to try this one, thanks Rudy. fidel (976), Livermore, California, USA

Pours a nice dark black with a light brown head. Aroma is rich coffee, roasty, chocolate, molasses. Flavor is slightly harsh super robust concentrated coffee, chocolate, barley, vanilla molasses and some spices. Really dig the coffee flavors here, and glad to have had the chance to try this one.
