(Bottled) Almost black with a small, light brown head. Very smooth aroma with aromatic whiskey alcohol and coffee, also some licorice. Flavor is strongly malty, but with the whiskey-like alcohol coming through pretty strongly. Also some port wine and calvados. Medium to full body, slight alcohol burn, low carbonation. A very pleasant brew, yet not quite as smooth as the original (when at its best). For calvados lovers, at least.

Bottled@BeerHunters, Pori. Deep ambery brown colour, not much head. Aroma is oak, some smoke and also roasted malts, liquorice and some alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite wellbalanced.

On tap at Borefts BF 09. I was just on a run of really good beers at this point. Black, lasting tan head. Bit hot, but the intense coffee comes through. I mean let me sit here for a while and enjoy. I like it a lot.

Dark brown color, small steady brown head. Roasted malts, some whisky, light smoke. Cocoa, roasted malts melted with whisky flavors. Mellow, but not as interesting as Islay-version. Some similarities with Paradoxes.

Very short head oin a very dark brown sody. When I heard it was made with coffee, even the lost expensive in the world, even brewed with Nøgne Ø’s legendary quality, I was afraid it would be too stout, too dark. But it is not the case ! Amid hints of coffee, chocolate and smoke, it has the smoothest taste and it is the kind of beer I’d have any time !

Bottle, batch 415, brewed 09/03/2009, with 2012 expiry, medium carbonation. Nice beer, but I prefer the regular verions. Pours black with almost zero head. Nose of coffee, with whisky coming through. Very little carbonation. Taste of more coffee, dark chocolate, smoke and mild whisky notes coming through. Alcohol comes through, but smooth finish.

Bottle at BBF. Black with slight tan head. Whisky nose with coffee as well. Taste of coffee, chocolate and caramel with lovely whisky, well into the finish. Hats off.

Black with a small very dark brown head. Heavy whisky aroma that works well alongside the coffe, chocolate and caramell. Flavour is similar just ten times deeper, very fat and heavy sweet which works perfectly with the smooth creamy mouthfeel. The aftertaste is extremely long and complex with lovely whisky notes.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu) Poured black with small and tan coloured head. Aromas of roastedness, whisky and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Tasted of roastedness, coffee, whisky, hops, bitterness, ash and quite well hidded alcohol, Roastedness and whisky in aftertaste.
