Anyway, it doesn’t matter whether people pay good money to properly clean weasel shit or not, this is one fine beer. Definitely worth seeking out and cherishing. If anyone has proof positive of the weasel story, please let me know. Dough77 (777), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Very smooth with a coffee heavy aroma and flavor. A much bigger then expected hop punch in the aftertaste. Overall very solid, quite consumable even at 11% or so. For approx 20 bucks I won’t revisit, but glad to have had the opportunity to have a go around. kosko20 (313), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Rating 250...Pour is black with brown tint, thick creamy brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing. Aroma is alcohol, chocolate and coffee...the coffee isn’t prominent like I was hoping. Flavor starts sweet and finishes bitter, wonderfully complex stuff. Palate is smooth, clean, rich and full bodied...soft carbonation. Easy as hell to drink but was hoping the coffee was center stage. nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 3, 2009 The beer poured a thick brown head and it slowly receded. The coffee tastes are great, but I don’t know if I can tell a difference from the crazy coffee they put in it. You don’t get the alcohol taste and the beer itself is well rounded. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Looking forward to this rating but spilled a fair amount of the brew while trying to get an angle on the appearance of it. Probably had too many before testing, so may need to re-rate later. Sweet roasted malt aroma with some earth and smoke. Taste was slightly acidic and sweetish with a biting palate. Rich and thick enough - slight pudding qualities but not overly thick. Very good from what I remember. BillKismet (1947), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Thick black body with ultra thick chocolate head. Lovely deep roast piques the olfactory senses. Mild sensation of burnt black patent, nuances of chocolate with alcohol content amazingly well masked. The second wave brings coffee grain and coffee berry along with a streak of dark chocolate alcohol syrup. Roasty body with mild roughness of burnt black barley notes. Medium dry. Touches of dark baker’s chocolate. Deep chthonic, stygian darkness with a well of alcohol at the depths. Roast barley and black patent unrestrained and all over. Tinge of chocolate sweetness through the finish, and then black barley reappears. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 31, 2009 Pours opaque black with a massive brown head. Sweet chocolate and oatmeal aroma. Full, oily body and minimal carbonation. Sweet coffee and chocolate taste with a smoky espresso finish. This one lived up to the billing: a pretty amazing brew. grandgenie (252), gatineau, Quebec, Canada
