Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Norway.
This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries.Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
Ingredients : Water, malts, hops, yeast and Vietnamese ca phe chon coffee.

Courtesy mcbackus. Pours jet black with a small light tan head. Thenose is of dark toasted malts, a little toffee, and bits of chocolate and and vanilla as well. the flavor is very roasty, morseo than in the nose. Lots of chocolate and coffee notes allaround. Even hints of some sweet toffe or caramel in the finish. Pretty full bodied, with a little heat left onthe palate. maybe a touch overrated, but definitely top quality.

Sampled at C&P Otown Throwdown, big thanks to McBackus! Deep thick black pour with a creamy tan head. Huge chocolate malt, dark fruit and coffee aroma. Dark fruit chocolate and coffee taste. Well balanced and very drinkable for such a big beer. Awesome.

500 ml bottle from Orland Park Binny’s. Pours pitch black with small tan head. Aroma is espresso, roasted malt, chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor is strong with espresso and roasted oats and malt, chocolate, dark fruits and some booze. Perfect mouthfeel and balance for a coffee stout. Liked this much better than Beer Geek Breakfest. Terrific brew and best Imperial Stout I have had in a long time. Expected a lot with high price tag and it exceeded my expectations.

Pours a pitch black color with a quickly disappearing head. Huge coffee aroma, nutty, some oats, and a hint of alcohol. Slightly sticky body but silky in the mouth, sweet with a strong coffee taste. Very malty, bitter chocolate finish. Top notch.

Bottle from City Beer in SF. This is the best poop-based beverage I’ve ever had! And that is saying something. After drinking this, I wish I could shovel weasel crap into my mouth by the truckload. Pours an oily black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, vanilla, and of course coffee. Flavor is top-notch. Lots of roast and coffee, bitter cocoa, and maybe even a little dark fruit. No fecal matter detectable. Rounds out incredibly well in the end with a full, satisfying mouthfeel.

Pours an oily black color with a small but dense tan head. Chocolate, molasses, dark roast, and even some creme brulee. Thick as hell with tons and tons bitter coffee a the start and quite a lot of sweet chocolate behind that. As it warms I get some raisins as well. Creamy mouthfeel. Very good.
