Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Norway.
This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries.Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
Ingredients : Water, malts, hops, yeast and Vietnamese ca phe chon coffee.

Pros: Excellent appearance, natural carbonation - long lasting foam, tremendous purity, full mouth feel. Not brash for being so young (unlike Black Hole.) Complex, concentrated. Will mature in the bottle.

Cons: While the aroma is pretty nice, it’s not as powerful as I’d like.

I plan on putting some away.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass could not look better. Deep, deep black, very brown head. Starts very intense and complex malty, notes of strong coffee, liquorice and some chocolate. Well balanced, warming finish, soft as silk. A bit sweet aftertase. An incredible good beer! Thank you yespr for this bottle!

Bottle. From Jessup plaza. Poured a jet black color with a small brown head. Aroma is strong coffee and chocolate. Very thick mouthfeel on this one. Very smooth and drinkable. Lots of alcohol on the back of the mouth. This is great. Very good.

Appearance is a definate 5. Dark dark brown with a huge froathing brown head. Delicate dark desert chocolate aroma with notes of coffee, vanilla and wood. Flavor is delicate aswell, not overwhelming, which is nice. Makes it extremly drinkable, especially for a 10+ abv. Soft oily palate and medium complex bitter notes, sleightly roasted but mainly its coffee/chocolate bitter. Awsome!
