Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Nøgne Ø, Norway.
This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries.Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.
Ingredients : Water, malts, hops, yeast and Vietnamese ca phe chon coffee.

Bottle at 10am on the day of gears81’s wedding, Congratulations Jake!! Very impressed with this tasty brew. I’ve recently given up on coffee imperial stouts, but Brunch Weasel it much more balanced than the likes of Jav-ha amongst others. The oatmeal also added a nice creamy body that made this so great. Aroma was a refreshing chocolate and coffee, but not too bitter or astringent. Flavor was creamy chocolate and coffee, with a nice bitterness. A very good brew indeed.

Ultra dark pour with nice brown head. Nose of coffee, tabacoo and chocolate. Falvor is much like the nose with chuncks of smoke that round out the finish. There are a ton of hops in this thing as well, has a nice bit of bitterness that rounds out the gem.

Euro-bomber. Pours deep brown with very little head. Lots of earthy coffee, chocolate, and dates in the aroma. Flavor is incredibly rich with a robust cherry chocolate finish. Slightly boozy at the finish. Absolutely unique and delicious.

500 ml bottle shared by Gregis. Pour is black brown with a one inch dark tan head that falls with nice lacing, along with some viscous oily streaks. Aroma of roast, bright pine hoppiness some bright almost sweet acidity. There really is not much coffee in the nose, unless the acidity is a coffee based. Interesting and full nose. Taste is big vanilla sweet roast, hints of burnt roasted coffee, followed by a nice pine hoppiness in the back. As it warms there is some iodine, which lends it an odd sweet and salty taste which was pretty weird. This transitioned to an aftertaste which featured the soy. Palate is medium heavy, lowish carbonation, and pretty boozy in the finish. This was interesting, but I certainly prefer Beer Geek Breakfast. Thanks for sharing this one Greg.

pours a very dark brown-black with a medium sized creamy mocha colored head...lively looking with lots of bubbles...lacing and retention could have been better. definite coffee in the aroma with some bitter chocolate too. also hints of dark fruit and milkiness...touch of alcohol too. flavor has definite coffee too and more dark fruit than the aroma suggests. bitter chocolate is present in the flavor but is very subtle. lots of roastiness at the end. mouthfeel is very creamy and heavy with a lingering roasty dark fruit finish. damn good beer but more dark fruit than i generally prefer in my stouts...

Wow, a nice surprise from friend @trevor211. Great dark pour with ring of off white head. Boozy, irish coffee nose. Sharp coffee (unique too, it comes through) and boozy taste. Intense, acidic and some surprisingly nice spice and fruit. Scary intense flavors, awesome. Rating #300.

Tasted at ratebeer tasting 07/09. Spiced cookie, coffee and toffee aroma. Deep brown color with beige long-lasting head, medium body, silky palate. Tastes like coffee with cream, some butterscotch and chocolate malt.

Big foamy brown headthat settles to a thin lid. Colour is black as a winters night. Aroma is full of coffee, chocolate, spices and is heavily roasted and warming. It is a bit thinner than expected though. Flavour is full of coffee, alcohol, dark chocolate and brown sugar and also some spices. It is rather acidic too and to be honest I find it to make the flavour a bit unbalanced. Mouthfeel is rather smooth, but the carbonation is actually a bit too strong. This beer is very good, no question about it, my expectations were so high that it still is a bit of a disappointment to me, every time I open a Mikkeller brew I expect perfection and this one is a little short of that.

this was my first beer of 5 new-beer session. i rated it as the best vs. stone russian imperial, great divide espresso yeti, founders imp and sam smith imp. obviously not worth the price, but a very nice beer. that said, i’d still rather drink a founders breakfast stout.
