| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 18, 2009 This is a unique brew for sure. Pours pretty thick and clumpy towards the end - unlike any I’ve seen before. Aroma is mostly roasted malt and some coffee notes. Flavor is smooth - classic IRS plus unique coffee flavors. Not extremely complex but the blend is extremely satisfying. Mouthfeel is sticky and creamy. Very good.

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Please ignore my numbers if you are a impy stout lover for this stuff is certainly on style and I admit it. My problem is that I rate by how much I enjoy it. Had this at the RB Pgh gathering 12/09. I am not worthy enough, beer geeks, to have had the chance to taste or rate this. First off, how sick is it that we make coffee out of weasel droppings? Rare yes, but come on. This stuff was big and black in color and presentation. Thick tan head reminds me of choco moose, heheh. One big rude impy stout and from past reactions to my impy stout ratings I would say the more I dislike it the more an impy stout lover will love it, so if you are one of these lovers, never pass this up if you get the chance to have it. Has some appriciable flavors when compared to many othjer highly rated imp stouts. Most imp stouts are just plain one dimensional but this does have a few attributes which a I can identify. Big, large and in-charge, what else can be said except that it is on style and complex. Rude long bitter linger that just keeps going and going. Had to take a half hour break before my taste buds could taste again. Ruined me for the evening. wew. Weasel turds, eh? What is next? MullMan (1086), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Been holding out on opening this for a while, so I decided to share it for Monday night’s #CraftBeerChat on Twitter. body is an opaque black, with a thick foamy/rocky tall burnt umber colored head. the aroma is nothing short of fantastic, mildly roasted coffee, dark chocolate bars, roasty malts, a little vanilla, mild licorice candy. Flavor is a wee salty, with nice bitter earthy roasted/burnt coffee malt, some anise/licorice liqueur flavor, and dry high cacao% chocolate. a little charred oak and blackstrap molasses in the finish, with some mild leafy bitter hop and coffee aftertatse. great brew, lives up to the hype. Special thanks to my twitter friends to share the review in real-time! @jimbinder @ChicagoDiane @arikhanson @steveschoon @jeffmello #CraftBeerChat kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Ultra dark pour with nice brown head. Nose of coffee, tabacoo and chocolate. Falvor is much like the nose with chuncks of smoke that round out the finish. There are a ton of hops in this thing as well, has a nice bit of bitterness that rounds out the gem. sleestak (191), Williamston, Michigan, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Euro-bomber. Pours deep brown with very little head. Lots of earthy coffee, chocolate, and dates in the aroma. Flavor is incredibly rich with a robust cherry chocolate finish. Slightly boozy at the finish. Absolutely unique and delicious. theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 500 ml bottle shared by Gregis. Pour is black brown with a one inch dark tan head that falls with nice lacing, along with some viscous oily streaks. Aroma of roast, bright pine hoppiness some bright almost sweet acidity. There really is not much coffee in the nose, unless the acidity is a coffee based. Interesting and full nose. Taste is big vanilla sweet roast, hints of burnt roasted coffee, followed by a nice pine hoppiness in the back. As it warms there is some iodine, which lends it an odd sweet and salty taste which was pretty weird. This transitioned to an aftertaste which featured the soy. Palate is medium heavy, lowish carbonation, and pretty boozy in the finish. This was interesting, but I certainly prefer Beer Geek Breakfast. Thanks for sharing this one Greg. watson1977 (279), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2009 pours a very dark brown-black with a medium sized creamy mocha colored head...lively looking with lots of bubbles...lacing and retention could have been better. definite coffee in the aroma with some bitter chocolate too. also hints of dark fruit and milkiness...touch of alcohol too. flavor has definite coffee too and more dark fruit than the aroma suggests. bitter chocolate is present in the flavor but is very subtle. lots of roastiness at the end. mouthfeel is very creamy and heavy with a lingering roasty dark fruit finish. damn good beer but more dark fruit than i generally prefer in my stouts... luttonm (307), Belgrade, Serbia

Boozy, irish coffee nose. Sharp coffee (unique too, it comes through) and boozy taste. Intense, acidic and some surprisingly nice spice and fruit. Scary intense flavors, awesome.
