My third bottle of this great beer. Awesome looking with a huge, gorgeous head. Great aroma of earthy, citrusy hops then in to massive coffee and chocolate. It’s rich and delicious, so roasty and big, amazing coffee flavour. What a great beer! RichardGretton (3161), Leicestershire, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Bottle. Pitch black beer with a very strong light brown head. The aroma is fairly strongly roasted, and the flavour is deeply roasted, and very very bitter, hopped and malty. Overall a nice very strongly roasted beer. Aroma was lots of coffee, some chocolate sweetness and some astringency. Flavor was very roasted, some burnt coffee, and somewhat drym with a slight maybe infected finish. I should say something about the brown to black opaque pour, the dense velvet mouthfeel, the notes of coffee and chocolate. But actually I preferred the slightly sweeter Breakfast stout. I’ll let the wesels enjoy their coffee in peace. cheapdark (2048), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Please ignore my numbers if you are a impy stout lover for this stuff is certainly on style and I admit it. My problem is that I rate by how much I enjoy it. Had this at the RB Pgh gathering 12/09. I am not worthy enough, beer geeks, to have had the chance to taste or rate this. First off, how sick is it that we make coffee out of weasel droppings? Rare yes, but come on. This stuff was big and black in color and presentation. Thick tan head reminds me of choco moose, heheh. One big rude impy stout and from past reactions to my impy stout ratings I would say the more I dislike it the more an impy stout lover will love it, so if you are one of these lovers, never pass this up if you get the chance to have it. Has some appriciable flavors when compared to many othjer highly rated imp stouts. Most imp stouts are just plain one dimensional but this does have a few attributes which a I can identify. Big, large and in-charge, what else can be said except that it is on style and complex. Rude long bitter linger that just keeps going and going. Had to take a half hour break before my taste buds could taste again. Ruined me for the evening. wew. Weasel turds, eh? What is next? MullMan (1086), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Been holding out on opening this for a while, so I decided to share it for Monday night’s #CraftBeerChat on Twitter. body is an opaque black, with a thick foamy/rocky tall burnt umber colored head. the aroma is nothing short of fantastic, mildly roasted coffee, dark chocolate bars, roasty malts, a little vanilla, mild licorice candy. Flavor is a wee salty, with nice bitter earthy roasted/burnt coffee malt, some anise/licorice liqueur flavor, and dry high cacao% chocolate. a little charred oak and blackstrap molasses in the finish, with some mild leafy bitter hop and coffee aftertatse. great brew, lives up to the hype. Special thanks to my twitter friends to share the review in real-time! @jimbinder @ChicagoDiane @arikhanson @steveschoon @jeffmello #CraftBeerChat kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Ultra dark pour with nice brown head. Nose of coffee, tabacoo and chocolate. Falvor is much like the nose with chuncks of smoke that round out the finish. There are a ton of hops in this thing as well, has a nice bit of bitterness that rounds out the gem. sleestak (192), Williamston, Michigan, USA

Lots of earthy coffee, chocolate, and dates in the aroma. Flavor is incredibly rich with a robust cherry chocolate finish. Slightly boozy at the finish. Absolutely unique and delicious.
