Shared at tasting. Thanks! Pours amber with a short lived head. Smell is lots of caramel and a touch of hops and alcohol. Mostly sweet caramel flavors and not incredibly interesting or complex, I thought. Certainly drinkable, however.

Aroma of malt, ripe fruits and raisins. Light brown clear colour with tint head. Flavour af plenty of raisins and portwine with slight bitter aftertaste. Extremely concentrated raisins. Alcohol discrete despite the high percentage.

Pours a deep, opaque reddish brown with 1cm beige head. Aroma is sweet, loads of toffee, rock sugar, vanilla, a tiny hint of liqourice, some alcohol. Smells great! Flavours are tons of sweet toffee, roasted malts, chocolate, rum, a hint of sweet liqourice, and maybe dates. Smooth, chewy, and the alcohol is fairly well hidden. Not easy drinking, but an awesome sipping beer.

Orange/amber in colour with a cream long lasting off-white head, good lacing. The aroma is very hoppy, some alcohol, caramel sweetness with some light chocolate. The flavour is rich and chewy, some moderate alcohol, caramel sweetness, quite hoppy with some citrus, some wood. Warming mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, warming and hoppy.

A well hopped barley wine, very rich and chewy. The alcohol is well hidden. Great aging potential.

Bottle. Strong smell of alcohol, very sweet, malty, strong aroma of liquor. The beer has no head, the body is black. The taste is very malty, surprisingly only light alcoholic, a little bit bitter. Nearly no carbonation, the body is medium strong and dry-creamy. A tasty Barley Wine

12.7 oz bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy amber/brown with a quickly fading head. Aroma of oak, candy-covered apples, vanilla and piney/fruity PacNW hops. Flavor starts with a malty toffee caramel base, then a balancing piney/citrusy/fruity hop profile. Next comes notes of woodiness, vanilla, brown sugar and pear/apple. Alcohol content is present but not detracting; warming. Full to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice barleywine.
