Jun 9, 2008 Cool looking 12.7 ounce corked bottle. Pours a brown/amber color with a very nice initial tan head that settles to a foamy ring. Aroma is caramel, molasses, dark fruits and alcohol. The flavor is sweet raisins and figs, some caramel and molasses with quite a bit of hop bitterness, especially towards the finish. The beer is a little hot, I’m not going to say the alcohol is hidden, but at 12% that’s kind of expected and I like the fact that there is never a dull moment here. Definitely a sipper but I like it.

Jun 8, 2008 375 ml bottle from Ølbutikken. An instantly dying layer of foam over a near-clear brownish red body. Sweet malts and piny hops to the nose. Sharp, edgy hopitter taste. Sweet malts and alcohol with some fruity tones. Fat body. Strong bitterness and a noticeable afterburn from the alcohol in the finish. A punchy one. Could be more rounded for my tastebuds.

Jun 2, 2008 375 ml bottle. Reddish amber. Dark and clear. No head. Coarse carbonation. Oily malts. Lacks aroma, at least a distinct one. Full-bodied for sure. Intense hoppy flavours. Grassy. Bitterness that lingers a long time. A bit too sharp.

Jun 1, 2008 Hardly any head. Deep hazy red body. Stale earthy sherry aroma. Dry-sweet stale ripe fruit and citric hops taste. Intensely sharp and strong alcohol heat. Dry chalky wooden alcohol aftertaste with citric hops. Didn’t really enjoy this much. (0.375l bottle at Ole_R’s.)
