375 ml bottle @ Cardinal. Hazy reddish brown body with a moderate beige head. Quite strong aroma of malt, caramel and citrus. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, peaches, dry fruit and a surprisingly well hidden warming feeling of alcohol. Well done, well balanced and well stored.

Bottle. Very hazy pumpkin brown pour, little carbonation and a rich sweet boozy caramel and malt aroma. Flavor is plum, raisins, brown sugar, and finishes herbal, spicy and dry. Alcohol is pretty well hidden for a 12% ABV beer. Very nice barleywine, give this one a try!

Bottle shared by Leems. Pours deep burgundy with a light tan head. Aroma is big and boozy with notes of cinnamon, molasses and dark fruit. Flavor is brown sugar, cinnamon, plum, date and alcohol. Thick and heavy bodied, glad we got this one out of the way before the recent heat wave.

bottle, pours carmel and light burgundy, no head. Aroma is pruney with apricotg and booze. Candied apple and a super sweet malt flavor, some simple syrup, and brown sugar, with a little booze in the finish. This is a great sipper!

Dark opaque brown with minimal head. Aroma is big on caramel, raisin, plum, and molasses. Flavor is quite sweet. Dark sugars dominate- brown sugar molasses and caramel. Never cloying. Palate is syrupy and heavy, ending dry and sticky.

Definitely a big beer. Murky brown, rapidly disappearing light tan head. Aroma of alcohol and cinnamon. Taste of raisins, wine and allspice. Bitter finish. Would all politically correct morons please note that this is a barley wine, not a stupid barley wine style ale, there is no such thing. People who complain about the proper name should drink piss.

Bottle. Pours ruby with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of toffee, stone fruit, black current and caramel malt. The flavour is sweet fruit, toffee and alcohol, which dominates. Medium bodied. Sweet and syrupy mouthfeel with a sweet, bitter finish. It’s a good barley wine but really needs more time in the bottle.
