Mikkeller Big Worse Barley Wine

Thanks for sharing, iowaherkeye. Body is very hazy dark copper with a thin off white head. The aroma has some molasses and caramel. There is also some cardboard. The taste has some rich notes of caramel with some light notes of tea. There is also some light leather in here.

Pours dark brown with a hint of ruby and an off white quickly disappearing head. Delicious candied fruit aroma with a touch of caramel. More of that candied fruit flavor in the taste but with some hoppiness on the back end. A little lighter than most barley wines. Its a bit soda like actually. Still enjoying this though, a nice barley wine.

Bottled, bought in Vejle. Hazy amber color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, raisin, alcohol, some hop as well. Smooth clean taste of bitterness, caramel, raisin, alcohol. Not as sweet as some american barley wines, but it also lacks some body. Balance is quite nice though.

from a corked and caged bottle. poured a nice rich amber with a small off white head. aroma alcohol infused with dark fruits,some spices, citrus. Flavor gotta love that alcohol flavor of a barley wine, caramel, plums, hops and malts. Good beer

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a dark red/brown colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is amazing with malt, hops, dark fruit spices and alcohol. Mouthfeel is excellent, very soft and tingling. Flavor is much like the aroma, with the hops and alcohol kicking your head in, without being all too dominant. WIll age well, if only I can manage it. Why I love Barley Wine!!
