Taste of chocolate, sugar and then more dark chocolate. Notes of coffee. Just a beautiful thing. Really enjoying it. Nice tart choco finish. A great style and a great brewer. Very roasted, chocolate, booze aroma. Taste is very overpowering. Felt peppery burning. Burnt flavors, pepper heat. Boozy. Extreme but unbalanced to the extreme. Pours black with 1 finger of thick tan head. Some really nice lacing as well . Soy, roast, and molasses on the nose with notable hints of coffee. Aroma of roast, coffee, slight chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, and hops. The flavor is slightly sweet, roast and coffee are prodominate, chocolate, spices, vanilla, alcohol is well masked, and has a beautiful hoppy finish. The nose is very nice, chocolate cherries, molasses, alcohol, coffee, sweet, . The flavor was warm dry alcohol, sweet, chocolate, espresso on the sides of the tongue, and there are the hops, waxy warm and bitter on the back of the tongue. Crisp dry palate with the alcohol showing mostly as warmth in the stomach. Not as phenomenal as I had expected but still good.
