Commercial Description:
Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

Bottled: Pours black, no head. Salty liquorice, chocolate and coffee on the nose. Rich mouth-feel. Flavour is roasted liquorice that somehow is sweet and salty at the same time. Very good and quite intense.

Rating 600. Bottle #9/100. Pours jet f****ng black. No head. Smells of smoked vanilla and coffee. First sip was a great surprise of a thousand falvors. Perfect balance of tar, vanilla, leather, chocolate, coffee, and hops. Totally flat. When I opened the bottle I thought I got a bad (flat) bottle but I didn´t miss the carbonation one bit. Very well hidden alcohol... I hardly believed the "12.5%" on the bottle. Vanilla finish with coffee and a hint of wine. Thanks. Brew more, please.

Well, its black with a big tan head. Nose is cocoa, burnt malt, tons and tons of alcohol, leading to astringency. Dark fruits are there but hard to find past the smell of my nose hair burning. Flavor is all about alcohol - way too much. There are cherries & cocoa in there but mostly its burnt alcohol. Super astringent, overly bitter finish.

Black of color with a longlasting head. An aroma of liqurice, roasted malt, hint of chocolate and salt. A flavor of liqurice, coffee, roasted malt, smoke and dry finish.

12.7 ounce bottle from MrBendo
Pitch black pour with a dark brown head.
The aroma is mostly coffee, but it seems to be blended with a decent amount of hops. There’s a bit of a woody note. The roast background in light but noticeable.
Very power full flavors here. Coffee, roast, and some hops. Kind of a vanilla or marshmallow thing going on. Alcoholic finish.
Pretty thin. Dancing carbonation. Dry roasted and alcholic finish.
The flavor is really nice, right up to the point where the alcohol attacks. That, and the thin body are the major turn offs for me.

TITW-II. Big thanks to kmweaver for sharing this treat. (#46/100). Pitch black body with a small tan head. The aroma is vinous, roasty, vanilla, molases and chocolate. The flavor is vanilla, port, cherry, chocolate, very burnt and coffee. Medium/full body, warm with a very drying finish.

Bottle. Pours black with a chocolate brown head. Probably the darkest head I’ve seen. Aroma of both sweet and roasted malt, with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and fruit. Full bodied. The flavor isn’t bad, but the alcohol is just a bit to noticeable. Primary notes are roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, fruit, and some bitter hops that reveal themselves in the finish. But again, the alcohol just smacks you right in the face, lessening the impact of the other flavors. This isn’t a bad beer by any means, but I think it would be much better if it was more in the 9-10% ABV range.
