Commercial Description:
Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

Bottle. Brought to tasting by marchcow. Thanks for sharing. Poured a nearly opaque black color with ruby red highlights. Head was brown. Aroma was of light coffee and citrusy hops with black licorice and caramel accents. Full bodied with plenty of warming alcohol and moderate hop bitterness (5-6 out of 10). Tasted of roasty coffee, brown sugar, and dark chocolate liqueur. There was also a dried fruit accent. Very solid beer.

Pours a very dark brown with a short but full light brown head. Aroma of sweet, lightly roasted caramel malts and black pepper mixed with coffee. Also some hop aroma. Taste is incredibly unique for a stout. Very sweet and almost fruity at first with a finish full of that black pepper/coffee flavor along with alcohol. The body is very creamy and hints at chocolate. Very complex flavor palate.

Bottle from pimpp, thank you so much. Pours black with a smallish tan head that quickly fell away to a thin ring. Aroma is huge coffee, chocolate, black malt and alcohol. Flavor is coffee, dark chocolate, alcohol, bittersweet chocolaty finish with maybe a touch of black licorice at the very end. This is a very nice beer, I really enjoyed this one.
