Commercial Description:
Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

13oz bottle. Pours a deep dark black. Oily with little head. Nose is intense coffee and tons of bourbon and chocolate. Great nose. The flavor is a dissappointment. Intensely boozy, with alot of coffee and over the top bitterness that destroys any nuances. Some chocolate and vanilla peak through in a long long finish but thats about it. This is way to boozy and way to bitter for my tastes. Not at all smooth. Thick oily mouthfeel that really coats the throat. Good thick palate that is sadly wasted. This is still a great beer but I was disappointed by the end result.

A pitch black colored beer, with a thick foamy dark beige/brown colored beer. The aroma of chocolate, roast malts, some sweet dark fruits. An extremely taste of pure chocolate with dark fruits and notes of alcohol. Also hints of liquorice juice, The aftertaste is bitter with sweet and alcohol.

Brewed in Denmark........ Pours black in color with reddish hues and a thin beige head. Aroma of molasses, dark malts, alcohol and coffee. The taste has a bitter sweet chocolate flavor with roasted malts, vanilla and a medium alcohol burn. The mouthfeel is medium in body with a dry, but pleasant alcohol finish. This beer was in celebration of the great comeback in silly philly today. :)

Pure brown black beerness, a strange ambivalence of intensive unsamplelike taste nd this coffeeshop tendency, but its name wins
