Nose is very malty, alos very hoppy, very well balanced, some yeasty funk notes as well. Taste is crisp hops and a flavorful sweet and tangy malt that blend together perfectly. Light citrus and some more light funk follow up. Excellent thick mouthfeel and a suiting bitter finish. agr (19), Copenhagen K, Denmark

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2006 Pours a hazy dark amber with some white foamy head. Nice lacing, some speckling as well. Nose is awesome, a flowery juicy citrusy goodness. Bready and yeasty, yum yum. Taste is a fruity hop explosion. Pineapple, apples, apricots, and oranges greet the palate. Nice a good earthy dark malt comes into play, not too sweet. Finishes with a nice dry cocoa and careml thing going on. Has a rather nice yeast funk throughout as well. Next time in Denmark, I will be trying this again. MPA (487), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark

This is a beer I fancy! Amber-orange with an aroma of hops, oranges, flowers and sweet liquorice (to mention but a few of the many magnificent scents which hit my nostrils). Floral in taste with an excellent bitterness. The mouthfeel was very well balanced. Thanks to Sofajoern for joining me in tasting this beer Sofajoern (146), Denmark

Fairly dark (for an IPA) reddish brown with a slowly dissipating head.
Lots of hops in the aroma, flowers, oranges and a touch of sweet liquorice and apples. Almost creamy in the mouth and very full bodied. The hoppyness and bitterness in the flavour was almost overwhelming and lasted quite a bit afterwards.
Definetely one I’ll come back for. henrikb (1303), Aarhus, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2006 Dark golden, huge light brown to white head, beautiful laces; huge super nice nose, loads of hop with some very distinctive exotic fruit like not yet ripe pineapple, at the same time as being quite dry; Super bitter body mellowing a bit into a super long bitter dry hop, dry pine-like finish that could be greater. Thanks a lot Mikkel for sharing this one, I am very happy to have had the opportunity to taste another of your fantastic IPA’s. Bugrat (56), Cph. V, Denmark

Aroma is very bitter and hoppy with a slice of citrus. Great apperance - typical nice pale ale. Excellent bitter flavor which presents the chinook hops very well (albeit not my absolute favorit type of hops). Super biting mouthfeel! Overall a great beer!!
