Sometimes rauchbier is a hardnitter, but this one you can drink for hours with a smoked pig or salmon for dinner. Maybe lacks some challence. beermouth (435), Langeskov, Denmark

The taste lacks a bit, but it is still the best I’ve tried. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Again thanks to Ungstrup. A chestnut to dark brown coloured beer. The aroma has some light smoke notes. Less obvious than a Bamberg beer but still there. The taste is similar and is quite dry. True to style. Tasty and clean. MOuthfilling and nice. Good stuff, especially for a smoked beer lover harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

Smokey bacon aroma, beautifully balanced. Lovely, but still a bit thin on malts. Bit too carbonated. Bov (5455), Bienne, Switzerland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Updated: Feb 17, 2007courtesy of Papsoe - pours a cloudy and very dark brown colour under a big creamy beige head; solid aroma of smoked meat; the mouthfeel is soft and clean, relatively thin; more smokiness in the aftertaste where notes of butter show up - the smokiness does not play well together with the other elements of the beer Ungstrup (15234), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2006 [Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 6400] A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is nicely smoked with notes of bacon, tar, and rope. The flavor is sweet with a nice malt back ground which dominates the start together with some caramel notes, then the smoke gains in power combined with notes of wood and rope, which in turn gives way to a quite dry end, where the ligth smoky note lingers together with a faint caramel note. Not the most powerful smoked beer, but enough to make it really nice. elektronikfagtekniker (892), kbh, Denmark
