zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Sep 21, 2008 Pours yellow/gold, with a lrge, white head. Aroma is subtle, but nice. Hops, floral notes, and grass. Flavor is hops, caramel, and malt. A simple beer, but a fun and easy one to drink. BuckeyeBoy (1639), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 17, 2008 Bottle Pours out a hazy straw topped with a nice head. Aroma of fresh floral hops and light malts. Tast more of the hops with a nice body. Very good. Pinball (2685), Allerød, Denmark Sep 14, 2008 EBF 2008,
nice hoppy aroma, and flowery.. very very good.
clear golden white head
flavor is near perfect for my taste in a strong pilsene. still has the fresh pilsener taste, but so much more powerful. overall best pilsener i ever tasted. talon1117 (612), Bellvue, Colorado, USA Sep 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy, dark golden, amber color with a brilliant white, full, creamy, and rocky head; lace is plentiful and sporatic while longevity is good. Nose is pleasant with lots of bitter oranges, a nice floral note, caramel, cookie, and light grass. Flavor is similar with a great malt backbone of caramel and light biscuit and cookie; hop notes include lots of bitter oranges, lavender, light grass, light pepper, and some grapefruit peel. Palte is moderately full, soft to lively, somewhat creamy but still crisp in texture. Finishes long with more pepper making a presence, bitter oranges still lingering, grapefruit peel, and the moderately high bitterness making its full presence. A highly drinkable Imp Pils with a smooth palate and great hop flavors. Even with all the complementary malt and hop notes, the beer remains crisp. Not the best Imp Pils I’ve tried but one of the most drinkable and well put together lagers. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Sep 9, 2008 Bottle, with renffisch, 2nd September 2008. Amber with a very long lasting head which leaves lacing. Floral, perfumed aroma. Malty, nutty, mature cheese notes but with a good balancing bitterness. A very enjoyable beer. Certainly the best I’ve had in this style, by a country mile! hillfiiiiire (283), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 8, 2008 Pours a hazy gold and with a fluffy white head. Grassy aroma with a little hops. Picking up a floral scent. Flavor has a little clover and malty sweetness. Grassy hops definitely coming through there too. There is a wonderfully subtle and delicious beer. Finishes with a dry bitter and creamy body. I quite wish I had another glass. ketchepillar (475), Viña del Mar, Chile Sep 7, 2008 750ml generously GIVEN by FlacoAlto. Aroma is very grassy w/ clover. The hop aroma is very good, but a bit too light allowing boring malt to come through. Hops in the flavor have more citrus character but are still predominantly grassy and flowery. The hops feel great all up in ma mouf. Finish is long and satisfying. crowderm (275), Recklinghausen, Germany Sep 7, 2008 Pours a very nice cloudy gold with a big, soapy white head. Nice lacing as the beer goes down. Light, but very pleasant aroma: citrus and floral hops mostly. Flavor is pretty similar. Nice fruity hop bitterness, with a little bit of honey sweetness. This beer is awesomely crisp. The beer finishes with a slight alcohol burn, but I’m actually finding that kind of enjoyable at the moment. Very well done beer, a very pleasant surprise.
