Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

C&C 750. Clear gold with a massive off white head that descends rockily. The label says Malt Liquor, which evokes images of paper bags and park benches. This is far from that! The nose is sweet grain drenched in citrus and grass. The flavor is bitter hop madness, citrusy and grassy with a light caramel tinge. IPA lovers should dig this, for sure. Very drinkable. Medium bodied and slightly slick, a touch of hotness in the finish Interesting stuff!

750ml Bottle @ The rover. Nice cloudy golden-yellow color with a nice big head. Really nice balance with lots of fresh hops and fruity notes.

Pours a fuzzy gold with a large white head. Nice light hoppy aroma. This is a pretty drinkable beer. Nice balance of hops and malts, I would try this beer again.

This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated orange colored body, The aroma was malty hoppy and contained a buttery note. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish. The flavor was mildly vinous with a malty note and a slightly acidic aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden/orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma of floral and earthy hops, sweet pale malts, citrus and a hint of pine. Flavor is hoppy with citrus, grass, grapefruit and some malty sweetness

Yellow color with a full, long lasting foam. Well hopped nose, with citrus, spice-like, lemony and fruity hops. Very vibrant. Flavor is very punchy with loads of fruity (orange, tangerine, lemon) and spicy hops. Also, some notes of butter toffee and caramel as well. This is a very nice beer from Mikkeller, one of the better Imperial Pilsners I’ve had.

This beer poured deep golden/orange in color with a large fluffy white head that dissipated away. The nose was like Springtime with scents of citrus and lavender honey. In the mouth it is medium-bodied with a concentrated midpalate that leads to a dry/bitter finish. This is well-balanced but overall rather simple.
