| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 15, 2008 Bottle. Body-orange/yellow hazy, loose quarter inch off white head with moderate lacing. Nose-soft medium hops, light grapefruit/PNW hops 9amazingly hoppy), light white spices, smells like a cold, stale, clean refrigerator, light perfume. Taste-high CO2, chamomile, flower petals, rose water, clean Belgian yeast, very clean, perfect medium sweetness, light bitter on the backend. Beautifully done. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, orange body with a full, frothy, white head.
Smell: Light pale malt aroma packed with notes of spice, booze, and citrus peel.
Taste: Bready pale maltiness, a hint of grain. Middling sweetness. Bright citrusy fruitiness. A spoonful of marmalade. Floral, spicy hops with a mild bitterness. Slightly boozey. Warming, bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Actually, this isn’t half bad, though it is a bit pricey. Still, though, I do recommend wrestling with the Draft Bear. theisti (1654), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2008 750 bottle courtesy of SuzyGreenberg at Uber Tavern. Pour is cloudy orange golden. Aroma of fruity sweet grass. Taste is really nicely melded, soft sweetness, fruity orange hoppiness. Finish has some slight heat, doesn’t detract at all though. Palate is medium, holds up to the big flavors but is still quite drinkable. Nice beer. CaptainCougar (5407), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of sweet pale malts and crisp resiny hops. Starts fairly full and sweet pale malty with a nice assertive hoppiness to it. Finishes drier and bittersweet. A well-balanced and enjoyable hoppy lager. unclemattie (2402), Georgia, USA

Very nice Imperial Pilsner. Peppery hop nose. Flavor is a chewy malt, which is always an added bonus. Follows with a crisp hop bitterness. Amazing bear, super tasty. Very nice as all Mikkellers are. The dominate smell is heavy hops and mild malts. First taste is light, sweet, and very hoppy for the style. Light in body and taste. The dominate flavor is hops. Not bad. Closer to an IPA than a lager. shp555 (1681), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
