mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland May 5, 2008 (Bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-02-23) Pale golden colour. Cloudy. Hops in nose. Light to medium body. Hops and some malts in taste. Dry palate. Impressive pils. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA May 4, 2008 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy golden orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of flora, herbs, biscuit, dough, apricot, pineapple, lemon, and grapefruit. Flavor of hops (floral, grass, citrus), rose, light herbs and some toasted grain. buzzoven (333), Japan May 4, 2008 Updated: Jun 10, 2008Popped opened the cork and peered into the misty mouth of the bottle. My first Imperial Pilsner. Pours a nice rose-lemon colour with very little nose, but a nice cloudy head that lasted the full pint. Retains a stable malty taste with hints of bitterness and a gentle feel on the pallete. Low in carbonation...always a good thing and finishes with a crisp, peppery sensation with some more of that zesty bitterness lngering. Would certainly drink again. Alcoholic but with a nice hoppy floral aroma and flavor Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Apr 23, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Bu11zeye.
Pours a cloudy gold with medium white head, good retention. Aroma has a high note of hoppy citris. Flavor is nicely malty, hop flavor, with a nice strong hop bitter in the finish. Medium carbonation, mouthfeel. I enjoyed this, very flavorfull. Davinci (295), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 21, 2008 Nice light caramel slightly hazy pour with off white head, sticky lacing. Nose starts with some citrus and florral hop aromas leading to slightly roasty sweet malt character. Flavor is again citrus hops up front, medium bitterness, some pine coupled with a well balanced malt sweetness. Finishes toward a pleasant grasswy note, some soapy notes from the hops. This drinks very easily. body is slightly creamy with mild carbonation. Another winner from Mikkel. tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 20, 2008 Bottle at the no Greg tasting, courtesy of Harry, shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, Jerc, and Mabel. Dark yellow, big bubbly thick head. Nice. Pleasant aroma - soft malt, floral notes, some faint hops. Good taste - rather hoppy up front, nice sweetness behind it, really orange citrus fruity. Simple yet very good. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Apr 19, 2008 Courtesy Beerlando. Clear golden pour, moderately thick light white head. Mild sweet aroma with some Saaz notes atop some musky wet grains. Lightly carbonated. Sweet grainy taste, no real alcohol influence on the taste, mild Saaz presence is apparent through to the finish. Clean overall. A nice brew, but somehow not entirely impressive.
