Feb 7, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Not sure how to feel about this one. Kinda like a saison without the funk. Lots of grassiness and hay in there. Little musty. Not sure what to make of it, but I do know I kinda dig it.

Feb 2, 2009 btl by Springslicker. Sweet corn and malt on the nose. A golden pour with creamy white head and lace. A surprising bitter following a corn malt sweetness. A tad foamy and thin. A drinkable beer I was surprised to find that it was 8%. Could get tricky as easy as it is to drink.

How: Bottles 750ml, consumed fresh within a few weeks after receiving it through private importation.
The look: Cloudy golden-orangy body topped by a large long-lasting white head
In long: Nose of orange, leather and hay in the country field, almost wild (unusually wild for a lager). Taste has a lot of cereals, clementines, dry fruity skins of all kinds, soft honey/caramel sweetness and a truckload of hops. Hopping has the noble dry grassiness as well as a fruity/pine-tree character. Good chewy thick lager feeling. Not very tasty but highly drinkable for a 8% brew. Fantastic Draft in a bottle, which said like that makes as much sense as a genuine imitation of natural plastic flowers.

Jan 21, 2009 Rating 600! 750ml plastic-corked bottle. Thick, murky orange color with a big, foamy head. The aroma is sweet, with some Belgian yeast tang. The taste is sweet and malty, with a smooth thickness to it. Decent hop presence for a Belgian, very earthy. Really captures a lot of styles at once. Fruity Belgian yeast nuances, solid hop character, an almost bock-like smoothness in mouthfeel. Excellent beer, would love to have it fresh.

Jan 16, 2009 Bottle on 11/30/2008 at the 3rd Annual Richmond Industry Gathering. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Big floral hop and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel and spice flavor with light citrus and floral hops. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Jan 15, 2009 Bottle from O’Brien’s San Diego. Pours a lightly hazed golden color with a 2 finger white head. Crisp yeast and light hops on the nose. Flavor was bready with a very crisp and slightly sweet finish.

Jan 15, 2009 Bouteille de 750 ml, avec bouchon de liège, obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur d’houblon floral avec une pointe de céréale et de fruité. Apparence: La couleur est blonde dorée légèrement voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un énorme col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’épices avec une pointe d’orange et de céréales. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement astringente. Moyenne effervescence en bouche.
