May 28, 2008 750ml bottle. pours slightly hazy golden with foamy white head. aroma is earthy and floral with biscuity malt backbone. flavors basically have spicy and earthy hop notes joining with a clean biscuity and caramel malt profile. pretty refreshing. the aroma was probably better a few months ago.

Aug 31, 2007 Updated: Mar 14, 2009Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Hazy golden colour. Nice aroma of hops - spicy, oaky and fruity. Unfortunately I drank it too warm, but the flavour was still spicy and quite OK.
Rerate, 750 ml "champagne" bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy, with a big and slightly off-white head. Lovely aroma of Amarillo and Cascade hops, with spicy and fruity (citrussy) notes, also hints of caramel. The flavour is spicy and zesty, with grapefruity hops but it is not too bitter. Hints of candi sugar and oak, but the beer is not sweet. Dry and slightly astringent finish. Alcohol is noticeable, but the beer is still dangerously drinkable for its strength. I’m upping it a point. In danger of repeating myself: Well done (again), Mikkel!

Apr 12, 2008 Pour is hazed orangey amber with a big bubbled off white head...smell is faintly sweet, with lots of soapy and citrusy hops coming out...taste is nicely sweet up front and throughout with a moderate hoppy citric flavor balancing out the sweetness...this beer is really tremendously drinkable!!!!

Oct 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kleyland. Poured a murky, dull orange with a huge frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, earth, sweet malt, vanilla and flowers. Comparing this to Panzer Pils, this one is at least as good. Not quite as sweet or hot, and a bit more well balanced. Pretty full bodied, with a lingering after taste. Malty flavor, bread, yeast, fruit and earth. Hop finish is mild, but solid.

Aug 28, 2009 Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Deep golden color. Sweet, perfumed, herbal and rubbery aroma. Toffeish, herbal and rubbery flavor with sharp and tart alcohol note. Boozy and sharp lager, not my pint of beer.

Dec 15, 2008 VRBT. Light amber. Hoppy aroma. Flavor was light pils malts and a load of floral hops. Quite good. You really can make a good beer in this style.

Mar 22, 2009 Bottle. Yellow with a medium head.Pleasant aroma upon opening.Bitter but not overpoweringly so. Full bodied and well balanced. Dangerously easy to sup.Nice.
